The facility offers trauma care, full-service adult and pediatric emergency departments, surgical suites, advanced imaging services and specialized care for chronic conditions that disproportionately affect residents. The facility also features a 16-bed inpatient behavioral health unit and labor and delivery services that have not been available to the District’s residents of Wards 7 and 8 since 2016. Importantly, the hospital also provides dedicated space for community education and outreach, equipping residents with tools to manage their long-term health. “Cedar Hill is more than a hospital — it is a community resource,” said Jake Hambrick, UHS director of design and construction. “This facility improves outcomes not just for today’s patients but for generations to come.”
