Labor Standards Development

Determining distribution center labor standards is a critical part of facility master planning.  Establishing current labor productivity rates with time studies and/or reasonable expectancy (RE) rate modeling is the starting point for justifying changes to a process.  St. Onge has developed a comprehensive RE modelling approach and model that is used to accurately calculate current and new process labor rates.

If deploying or utilizing an LMS, then engineered labor standards are a typical requirement.  St. Onge develops engineered labor standards using on-site observations and time studies to capture machine times, validate travel distances, document operational processes, system functionality, personal, fatigue, and delay factors.
